Program Objective

The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is an advanced postgraduate degree which is primarily aimed at preparing students for PhD studies. It is strongly research oriented and its course component is made up of three (3) obligatory modules encompassing fundamentals of scientific research which must be completed within the first three months of enrolment in the program. Following successful completion of the fundamentals of scientific research modules students proceed to complete three (3) obligatory Research Seminars which are organized over the course of the three (3) months immediately following the fundamentals of scientific research modules. The research seminars are led by a faculty member of the institution and the objective is to provide students with the opportunity to present and discuss their ongoing MPhil research work and receive feedback from faculty members, fellow students and invited guests with significant research and publication experience.
